Johnny Depp has been a subject of controversy in recent years, with his legal battles with ex-wife Amber Heard and his departure from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. However, it seems that not everyone has given up on the actor just yet.

According to reports, producer Jerry Bruckheimer has expressed interest in re-casting Depp in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, now that he has won his legal battle against Heard. Bruckheimer reportedly stated that Depp is “somebody you can rely on.”

About Johnny, Bruckheimer said, “He’s just so good at what he does and actors recover from things like this. He’s a good individual and he’s a caring individual. He’s somebody that you can rely on and he’s just terrific. I think Johnny is an utter friend and an amazing artist and, again, you go through things in life you wish you hadn’t, but he’s still a talented artist.”

Depp’s departure from the franchise came after allegations of domestic abuse from Heard surfaced. However, Depp has maintained his innocence and continued denying the allegations.

Bruckheimer’s comments may surprise some, as Depp’s firing from the franchise was seen by many as a signal that his career was over. However, it appears that there are still those in the industry who believe in his talent and reliability.

It remains to be seen whether Depp will indeed return to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
