The Australian actor was heartbroken pondering upon the fact that he won’t be able to remember his wife or kids.
Australian actor, Chris Hemsworth has recently been in the news as it was discovered that he is warned about the likelihood of developing Alzheimer’s disease. Consequently, the actor has pushed himself to take a break from acting.
It happened so that Marvel’s Thor fame underwent some genetic testing in the new docuseries Limitless, where he took part in some physical challenges and during one of the episodes, when he underwent some genetic testing, it was discovered that Chris carried two copies of the gene APOE4, which is associated with an increased risk of Alzheimer’s disease. Chris stated that he would be taking a break from acting to concentrate on his health.
The Australian actor was heartbroken pondering upon the fact that he won’t be able to remember his wife or kids. Chris added, “Our memories are supposed to last forever. They shape us, and make us who we are, the idea that I won’t be able to remember a lot of experience or my wife, or my kids is probably my biggest fear.” He further added, “It really triggered something in me to want to take some time off and since we finished the show, I’ve been completing the things I was already contracted to do. Now when I finish this tour this week, I’m going home and I’m going to have a good chunk of time off and just simplify. Be with the kids, be with my wife.”
The Marvel superhero and actress Elsa Pataky married each other in 2010 and have three kids together.
