The actor and director are rejoining for the eagerly awaited Avatar sequel, however, the reunion is rather unexpected. The Avatar sequel though is anticipated to be released later this month. However, the duo coming together is rather unexpected given that Winslet had indicated reluctance to work with Cameron again during the production of Titanic. In an interview with Radio Times, Cameron said, “I think Kate came out of Titanic a bit traumatised by the scale of the production and her responsibility within it.”
He added, “We’ve both been eager over time to work together again, to see what the other is about at this point in our lives and careers,” and further continued, “She’s very large and in charge on set. You’d swear she was producing the film!”
In the meantime, Avatar: The Way of Water, which is anticipated to hit theatres on December 16, stars Kate Winslet as the Metkayina matriarch Ronal in the highly anticipated return to the planet of Pandora.
