Jenna Ortega, the 19-year-old actress who rose to fame with her roles in “Jane the Virgin” and “You”, is now starring in the upcoming Tim Burton series “Wednesday”. In a recent interview with a leading entertainment portal, Ortega spoke about the common stereotype surrounding Gen Z that they are unintelligent and have poor work ethics.
Ortega, who is a part of Gen Z herself, said that it is frustrating to see the whole generation getting painted with the same brush. She stated that while she has come across some people of her age group who fit into the stereotype, she knows many intelligent and hardworking individuals who do not.
She further added that people need to understand that each person is different, and it is not fair to judge an entire generation based on the actions of a few. Ortega emphasized that the younger generation has a lot to offer and should not be underestimated.
Ortega’s comments shed light on an important issue that has been prevalent for a while now. With the rise of social media, there has been a significant shift in how people perceive and interact with each other. It is easy to fall into the trap of generalizing an entire group based on a few examples, but this can be harmful and unfair.
