Leslie Grace, the talented young actress who was set to portray the iconic superhero Batgirl in a new Warner Bros film, has opened up about the disappointment she feels regarding the project’s shelving. The actress expressed her sadness about how a whole generation will now be deprived of the opportunity to experience the film.

Grace was set to take on the role of Barbara Gordon, the alter-ego of Batgirl, in a standalone movie that was being developed by Warner Bros DC Comics division. The film was set to be directed by Joss Whedon, who is best known for his work on Marvel’s The Avengers and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

However, the project was put on hold indefinitely last year, much to the disappointment of fans and the actress herself. In a recent interview, Grace spoke about how much she was looking forward to bringing the character of Batgirl to life on the big screen.

According to Variety, Leslie was found quoting, “I found out like the rest of you and then my phone just started blowing up.”

She added, “That’s the one thing I asked for. I got to see the film as far as it got to; the film wasn’t complete by the time that it was tested and there were a bunch of scenes that weren’t even in there.”

Despite the setback, Grace remains optimistic about her future in the entertainment industry and is looking forward to finding new opportunities to showcase her talent.
