Robert Pattinson will appear in Bong Joon Ho’s upcoming movie, Mickey 17. The sci-fi tale, which will be released in theatres on March 29, 2024, is an adaptation of Edward Ashton’s book. According to the publisher St. Martin Press, it is a high-concept cerebral thriller in the style of “The Martian” and “Dark Matter.” Pattinson will take on the role of Mickey Barnes, a “disposable” crew member on a space colonisation mission who is always revived in a new body after death and a member of a human expedition sent to settle a mythical ice world.
Robert Pattinson recently unveiled his appearance for the upcoming sci-fi Mickey 17, and the Oscar-winning director Bong Joon Ho is directing, producing, and writing the movie, which is presently in development. The movie is based on Edward Ashton’s novel Mickey 7.
The director’s first feature since Parasite, which won four awards at the 92nd Academy Awards, will be Mickey 17. Produced by Brad Pitt’s Plan B Entertainment, Dooho Choi, Bong, and Parasite composer Jae-il Jung is back to work with Bong on Mickey 17, as well as Dooho Choi.
Warner Bros. Pictures will release Mickey 17 internationally in 2024, while Robert will reprise his role as Bruce Wayne, nicknamed Batman, in the follow-up to his 2022 picture The Batman.
