Buenos Aires Fashion Week is referred to by the term BAFWEEK. Argentina’s most significant fashion event is BAFWEEK, a biennial clothing trade show that mostly takes place in La Rural Fairgrounds in Buenos Aires. Leading companies and up-and-coming designers are both featured during BAFWEEK, and the Semillero UBA BAFWEEK competition is also held. In the UBA BAFWEEK competition, University of Buenos Aires (UBA) fashion design students are chosen by a jury of industry professionals to display their designs at the occasion with financial support from Paseo Alcorta.
