Hayati Fashion Week

The 2017 Hayati Fashion Week (HFW), founded by Fatima Togbe, includes runway events, exhibitions, and networking events. Designers, models, artists, and other companies in the Nigerian modest fashion industry now have a direct platform to display their work thanks to Hayati Fashion Week, which was established in response to what was thought to be a perceived lack of modest fashion representation on significant Nigerian fashion platforms.

The press and general public are presented with modest fashion creations from Nigeria and other African nations during a yearly series of events. The phrase “modest fashion” or “modest dressing” refers to a trend in which women dress in less-skin-revealing ways, albeit different cultures and nations have different definitions of what exactly is considered modest. Beyond the numerous interpretations, there isn’t a clear-cut definition because it depends on the sociocultural elements of each nation. However, modest fashion usually refers to loose clothing, comfortable attire, and covering the body in a way that is comfortable for the individual.
