Lagos Fashion Week is an annual multi-day apparel trade exhibition that is held in Lagos, Nigeria. It was established in 2011 by Omoyemi Akerele. Over 60 Nigerian and African fashion designers are featured at Africa’s largest fashion event, which receives significant media coverage both domestically and abroad. Its goal is to offer the Nigerian and African fashion industries international prominence. Lagos Fashion Week collaborates with other fashion weeks to provide African product exposure. It also hosts a number of initiatives, talk series, and competitions.
