Parish Fashion Week
Paris Fashion Week is a series of designer presentations held semi-annually in Paris, France, with spring/summer and autumn/winter events held each year, catering to more than 800 professional buyers, 2000 journalists, and 400 photographers. The French Fashion Federation chooses the dates for Paris Fashion Week, which takes place at locations all across the city.
Men’s and haute couture presentations are staged semi-annually for the spring/summer and autumn/winter seasons in addition to ready-to-wear displays, and each year renowned companies like Dior, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Kenzo, Givenchy, and Céline host their shows in Paris.
The Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture introduced a new set of regulations and requirements for Haute Couture houses in 1945, and the house had to make sure they complied with the new regulations in order to meet the standards. The two Haute Couture houses’ biannual shows, held in conformity with the new standards established by the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, have been hailed as Paris’ first two fashion weeks. The “Big 4” fashion weeks throughout the world now include Paris Fashion Week.
