Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford, who initially appeared as husband and wife in the 1986 Peter Weir movie “The Mosquito Coast,” were among the celebrities who attended the opening of 1923, the much-awaited Yellowstone prequel. The veteran actress not only thanked him but also added that the actor taught her “a tremendous deal about film acting.” They also chatted to Deadline on the red carpet, and tease their characters on the Paramount+ series.

During the red carpet screening of “1923” on Friday night, Mirren spoke with Variety about how intimidated she felt when she initially worked with Ford. She said, “When we first worked together, he was a huge movie star and I was like nobody, so I was very intimidated.”

She continued by mentioning how much she had learned from him. She added that even though she had performed in a lot of theatre at the time, she had not yet appeared in many movies. As she observed him, he taught her a lot about film acting, which she is still utilising now.

The following chapter in the Dutton family saga, 1923, will focus on the early 20th century and introduce a new generation of Duttons. The U.S. and Canada will host the series premiere on Sunday, December 18, while the U.K. and Australia will get to watch it on Monday, December 19.
